Frequently Asked Questions

Info, Rates & Faq

How does scheduling an appointment work?

Scheduling will be done collaboratively and varies client to client depending on frequency of sessions, virtual vs in person availability, and time preferences. Together, at the end of each session we will schedule a follow up appointment that best suits your needs. For clients interested in meeting weekly, I offer recurring appointment times to ensure your session is reserved on the same day and time each week allowing for more consistency.

Do you offer both in person and virtual sessions?

Yes. I use a hybrid model of in-person and virtual sessions, making therapy flexible and accessible to you. Virtual sessions allow us to connect whether you’re on the go or dialing in from the comfort of your own home! Depending on client preference, I offer both phone call and zoom sessions. While in person availability is limited, I am happy to accommodate face-to-face sessions upon request. Please note, these appointments are subject to availability and may require advance scheduling!

Do you accept health insurance?

I am not in-network with any insurance plans, however if you have a plan with out-of-network benefits, you can submit claims to your insurance company for reimbursement once your deductible is met. Each insurance plan varies in terms of coverage and reimbursement rates, so make sure to review your specific benefits prior to starting therapy! For more information on how to submit claims to your insurance company, I have a step-by-step guide linked here

What is the cost per session?

I understand that therapy is not only an emotional commitment, but also a financial one and your investment is taken incredibly seriously. In our first appointment, we will discuss how to make the most out of our time together (both in and out of the therapy room!). My goal is to offer you as much as I can no matter how many sessions you are able to afford. Please inquire for current rates.

How will I know if we’re a good fit?

If you’re unsure whether I might be the right therapist for you, I would love to hop on a 10 minute discovery call to learn more about your goals for therapy and allow you to get a sense for what it’d be like to work with me! To schedule a brief call, simply reach out via the contact form and my team will respond within 24 hours.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes. My practice is very human and I do my best to be as flexible as possible, understanding that emergencies happen and life isn’t always predictable! However, I typically have a waiting list and do my best to accommodate all clients who are looking for appointment times. In order to provide availability to clients in need, there is a 24 hour cancellation policy. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a fee for the missed appointment. You will receive a confirmation text the day before each scheduled session as your appointment reminder.

I don’t live in Miami. Can I work with you?

One of the great advantages of telehealth is that it allows us to connect, even if we’re in different cities! If you’re based in Florida, I would love to explore the possibility of working together virtually. However, please note that my license is currently limited to practicing in Florida, meaning I am only able to provide services to individuals residing in state. If you don’t live in Florida and are looking for a therapist, https://www.psychologytoday.com/us is a great resource to assist in your search!

So we agreed to work together, what’s next!?

I can’t wait to officially meet you! Once we schedule our first session, I will provide you with intake paperwork to be completed prior to our first appointment. The paperwork will give you more details about confidentiality, informed consent, methods of payment, and my office policies. It will also allow me to get to know you better through a host of questions on your personal and medical history.

My heartfelt intention is to make therapy something you look forward to – a space where you can grow, heal, and thrive.
